The first graders did a wonderful job with Morning Prayer this week. Thank you to all the parents who helped their children practice so well!
Next Friday is our class Mass. We will be meeting soon with Mrs. Thomas, our liturgy coordinator, to go over the readings and write the intentions. I have asked the first graders to decide what they might like to do for our Mass, whether a reading, song sheets or gifts. We are planning a special presentation at the end of Mass that will include everyone. Please join us if you can on Friday, May 9 at 8:15 AM.
We will not have an author study for the month of May. Instead, we will concentrate on completing our bear books, story journals and poetry books.
We are asking that all bears be sent to school by Monday. We will be photographing the children with their bears for the cover of their bear books. The bears will stay at school until the Teddy Bear Parade and Picnic, which will be held on Thursday, May 29 at 11:00 AM.
