Arizona Music and Fine Arts is pleased to once again offer classes in Band at St. Mary-Basha School!  The 2007-2008 school year will be the 7th year of this very successful program.  For further information about the band or AMFA, please contact the AMFA office at (480)671-9898.  Mr. Ray Nelson will be returning as the band director.

Class Descriptions

Beginning Band:  Offered to 4th grade and higher.  Emphasis is placed on note reading and proper fundamentals of the student's chosen instrument.  No prior musical experience is necessary!  Students have their choice of the following band instruments: clarinet, flute, saxophone, snare drum, trombone and trumpet.  Instruments will need to be either rented or purchased.  
Beginning Band will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:15 - 3:45pm.

Advanced Band:  Offered to any student who has successfully completed one year of class or who has had private music instruction.  Continued work on fundamentals as well as an increased emphasis on group playing.  
The Advanced Band will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:45 - 3:15pm.
