Claudia Armistead
Spanish Teacher

Mrs. Armistead earned a B.A in Business in Monterrey, Mexico and worked in the corporate world for 14 years. She moved to the United States in 2009 after getting married to Arizona native Mr. Armistead. In 2015, she started volunteering as an assistant catechist at St.Anne's Catholic Parish in Gilbert, and became a level one certified catechist.

During 2018, she was hired by a Colombian company who trained her to be a Spanish Teacher. Little did she know that this would become her true calling. She has been teaching Spanish since.  She taught Spanish for St. Timothy Catholic School in Mesa, Chandler Police Department, and more recently at BASIS Charter School. Her  experience spans from teaching  basic & intermediate levels, 1A, 1B (junior high Spanish), PRE-AP and Capstone Spanish---which is university-level Spanish taught to twelfth graders in high School.

Mrs. Armistead enjoys cooking Mexican food, photography, and enjoying her time off with her three boys and her husband.
