Deborah Brines

Mrs. Brines has over 7 years’ experience as a teacher and has been at St. Mary-Basha since November 2020. She came to SMB from American Leadership Academy Ironwood Jr. High/High School where she taught 6th - 12th grade electives. Mrs. Brines has a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Arizona State University's College of Integrative Sciences and Arts in the field of Education and in the field of Music. She is happily married to her husband and best friend, Chad Brines, for over 23 years. They have 3 wonderful children, a 22 year old daughter who lives in Germany with her husband, a son who is 21 living here is Mesa, and their youngest daughter, who is 9.

In addition to education, Mrs. Brines has over 30 years’ experience in the expanse of Music and Liturgy, with over 25 years as a devoted Director of Liturgy and Music in the Catholic Church. Over the years she has directed many various choirs and instrumental ensembles. Mrs. Brines and her family are devoted to being in the Music Ministry at their parish. She loves playing the piano, flute, organ, and singing.
