Jr. High Teacher

Sister Tessy Pius is an eighth grade teacher at St. Mary-Basha Catholic School. She teaches Religion to her homeroom and US History to Junior High. She has taught for over twenty five years on several continents. She has taught in both her native India and Kenya before teaching in California. She has been teaching junior high since 2010.

She completed most of her studies in India at Teresian College Mysore and Karnataka State University and earned her bachelor's degrees in Art and Education and a Master's in English.

Sister Tessy belongs to the Congregation of the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa in India. She enjoys teaching young people, doing calligraphy, painting and drawing.
