Welcome to the 2025-26 School Year at St. Mary-Basha Catholic School
St. Mary-Basha Catholic School, established in 1944, has been a beacon of Catholic education for over 80 years, serving more than 400 students from PreK through 8th Grade. Our mission is to nurture each child in faith, excellence, community, tradition, and service. Our dedicated faculty prepares students to lead lives rooted in gospel values and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Academic excellence is the foundation of our school. We are committed to meeting students where they are, using teaching strategies that honor individual learning styles while building strong critical thinking skills through a rigorous curriculum. In 2024, we were honored to be named an Apple Distinguished School, recognizing our commitment to innovation, creativity, and purposeful technology use in the classroom. While we embrace technology to prepare students for the future, we also deeply value traditional books, handwriting, and paper-based learning. We believe children benefit from balance, where developmentally appropriate experiences are honored and where students can still be kids just a little bit longer.
Our Junior High Elective Program offers a wide range of engaging courses, including journalism, personal finance, broadcast journalism, study skills, apologetics, and career planning. Catholic values are woven throughout every subject, even in electives, as we focus on forming students who are reflective, compassionate, and service-oriented.
Beyond the classroom, our students participate in a wide range of co-curricular activities, including CYAA sports, theater, chess club, robotics, choir, band, orchestra, art, dance, student council, and service clubs for both boys and girls. Service projects are integrated throughout the year, encouraging students to live their faith through action.
To support our families, we offer after-school care through Innovation Learning. Parents are also encouraged to get involved through our Home and School Association, Advisory Board, and Eagle Hours Program.
St. Mary-Basha is more than a school. It is a community. When you choose SMB, you are joining a family built on faith and united in purpose. Choose our school where your child can grow academically, spiritually, and emotionally while still getting to be a child.
I warmly invite you to tour our campus and see firsthand the joyful learning and faith-filled environment that make our school such a special place.
Blessings
