Junior High Elective Classes
At St. Mary-Basha Catholic School, we believe in providing our students with a well-rounded education that encompasses not only core subjects like math, science, and language arts, but also a variety of elective courses. Our junior high students have the opportunity to explore their interests and talents in a range of elective courses, including:
- Art: Students can take courses in drawing, painting, sculpture, and more, developing their creativity and artistic skills.
- Music: Our music program offers courses in choir, band, and orchestra, allowing students to develop their vocal and instrumental abilities while learning about music theory and history.
- Drama: Our drama program provides opportunities for students to develop their acting and public speaking skills, participate in plays and musicals, and learn about theatre production.
- Technology: Our technology courses cover a range of topics, including coding, robotics, graphic design, and multimedia production, helping students develop their digital literacy and problem-solving abilities.
- Foreign Language: Students can choose to study Spanish, developing their language skills and cultural awareness.
- Physical Education: Our physical education program offers courses in team sports, fitness, and wellness, encouraging students to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.
In addition to these courses, our elective program also includes courses in journalism, personal finance, broadcast journalism, study skills, career planning, and more.
