Band

Arizona Music and Fine Arts is pleased to offer classes in Band at St. Mary Basha School! We are excited to continue our long tradition of great instrumental music with this fun and exciting program. The Band Program is a great opportunity for young students to become music makers, as they learn to play an instrument, read music, and play in an ensemble! Mr. Ray Nelson brings his 30 years of teaching and performance experience to the St. Mary Basha Band Program, as our Band Director.

Classes Offered
Beginning Band: Offered to students in 4th grade, 5th grade, and higher. Emphasis is placed on note reading and proper fundamentals of the student’s chosen instrument. No prior musical experience is necessary! The Beginning Band will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:20 to 3:50 in Hurtado Hall.

Advanced Band: Offered to any student who has successfully completed one year of class or who has had private music instruction. Continued work on fundamentals as well as an increased emphasis on group playing. The Advanced Band will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45 to 3:15 in Hurtado Hall.
